I’m back!!

Hello, there!!  Yes, you!!

I know, I know, it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other…but hopefully that’s all about to change!!  Yes, you heard it right, I plan to update this blog much more often.  Let’s be totally honest, it probably won’t be as often as I’d like, but it’ll definitely be much more of then than I’m currently doing it!!

So what to talk about??  So much has happened!! What’s new in the world of pop culture that I love and want to discuss??

A list of things before I die (a.k.a. my bucket list).

Bucket lists have always interested me. I’ve never really understood why they were called bucket lists, though.  I guess it’s because it’s things you wanna do before you kick the bucket??  Seems a little weird to me, but you know, English is pretty weird that way.  I’ve taken to calling them bucket lists now, though, because it’s what everyone else seems to know them as, and it’s just easier than explaining why you hate the name every time you use it.

Anyways, so I’ve had one made long before I knew what they were called, and even now, I continue to add to it.  I think I was nine years old when I first started writing down the list I’d been keeping in my head for as long as I could remember.  Some items have never changed (hug a panda, see the northern lights, learn to surf), while others have been added as soon as I discovered it was possible to do them or that they existed (swim with sharks, write a book, walk the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon).

Thankfully, I’ve crossed a few off my list: I’ve climbed a volcano, visited Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, camped at Bruce Peninsula National Park, climbed a pyramid (well, technically a ziggurat, but I’m not gonna be picky).

I figured I’d list a few here for you all, in case you need some inspiration.  Of course, there’s other, less photo-friendly items on my list, like write a novel, learn a new language, see a broadway play, spend the night in a haunted house, learn to drive standard, and visit all 50 states.  Plus, you know, ride a hot air balloon, swim with dolphins, go horseback riding, go paragliding, see the Sphinx…. you get the point, I’m sure.

So there you go.  I’m sure I’ll come up with others as time goes by, and hopefully I’ll get to knock some off my list soon.  I’m hoping that within the next year I can go horseback riding and maybe ziplining or skydiving.  I wanted to get cliff jumping out the of the way, but instead I jumped off a high ledge inside a cave, which I’m not sure counts as a cliff.  And next year, a trip for sure.  Maybe Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail??  Maybe Comic Con in San Diego??  Or maybe I’ll just buy a pair of Louboutin leather boots (and/or sparkly stilettos).  I’d so love that!!

What’s on your bucket list??

And I’m back!!

Hello all!!

Once again, it’s been a while since I wrote, and for that, I apologize.  I know, I know, I’m terrible at updating.  I’ll try to be better, I promise!!

Anyways, so I figured I’d start off with a quick post about a few songs that I’m currently obsessed with listening to. I know it’s not much, but it’s a start, right? And I’ll be back tomorrow with more, I promise!

The first one is “Feel This Moment” by Pitbull, featuring Christina Aguilera.  I absolutely love this song.  It makes me want to close my eyes and take a deep breath and go out and enjoy the night.

The second one is the new 30 Seconds to Mars song, “Up in the Air.”  This song totally makes me dance around my room and sing along.  It’s the first single off their upcoming CD, Love, Lust, Faith, Dreams, which will be released on May 21st.  I’m incredibly excited, as this means they’ll be touring again!!  And i definitely plan to be at their show here when they come, and if possible, at their shows in nearby cities.  They put on what is honestly the best concert I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot!!

As always, I’m still obsessed with all things Rise Against.  My current favourite song is “This is Letting Go,” which has helped me a lot lately, so I’ve decided to include it here, even though it’s not new.  They have a lot of other great songs, though, so feel free to listen to their other stuff!!

I’ll be back soon to update.  I’ve been writing a lot lately, so I really should make sure some of that writing is done here too!!  I’ve been working on some of my fiction, as well as some of my fan fiction.  And I wrote a poem!!  Well, kinda poem.  I don’t really do poetry, so I’m not sure what counts as one.  Maybe I’ll post it and you guys can tell me what you think??

The best (and scariest!!) show on TV: American Horror Story

Hello my lovelies!!

I want to talk to you all about my favourite show, American Horror Story.  It is one of a very few shows I follow, and the ONLY ONE that I watch on a weekly basis (instead of waiting for the season to be done to watch it all).

It’s currently on season two, and I’m finding it just as awesome as the first one.  It’s set up to essentially be a mini-series, in that each season has different characters and nothing to do with the last plot.  It’s kind of hard to talk about without giving too much away, but I’ll do my best.

It’s me again!!

Hello all!!

I know, I know, it’s been so long since I wrote!!  But here I am, hoping you’re still checking out the site.  Hopefully I’ll be able to update more often.  Maybe a few times a week??  Well, I’ll try!!

I don’t really have any reason for why I haven’t updated, but I’m sorry I haven’t.  Real life, you know??  But don’t worry, I’ll do my best to keep the writing a little more regular.

So what’s new, you want to know??  Well, not too much.  Taking some classes, trying to find a writing job, living life.  Computer died (or rather, I killed it) and now I’m working on a Photoshop-free Mac.  Yeah, it’s interesting.

I do have a few posts I plan to do, on things I’ve been watching or places I’ve been to lately (American Horror Story – watch it!!).

But I didn’t want to write and not leave you something to listen to, so I figured I’d leave you the three songs I’m currently obsessed with.

First, Fun.‘s “Some Nights”.  I know, it’s not new, and I’m a little behind.  But I love it!!

Another obsession is Ke$ha‘s newest, “Die Young.”  I’m iffy on Ke$ha.  I love some, I hate some, and I honestly believe if the beat wasn’t catchy, the song would be worthless. Her talk-singing can get annoying at times.  But this one is just too catchy!!  Although I’m iffy on her claims about sex with a ghost.  I mean…really??

And lastly, a song off No Doubt‘s latest album ‘Settle Down,’ called “Looking Hot.”  I’m not sure if they plan to make it a single or not, but it’s so catchy and it just makes me want to dance!!

Okay, apparently it’s supposed to be a single, but the music video was pulled because apparently it was racist.  I’m sure they’ll have another one made in no time.  Sadly, I didn’t get to see the video and I’m too lazy to search for it.  But if someone knows where I can find it, please let me know!!

Anyways, I’ll be back in a bit with an update.  I do need to go on and on about my love of American Horror Story, so I’m sure you’ll see that up soon!!
